DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Website design agreement & optional care

Proposed client terms. Not legal advice or a ready-to-sign contract. Have a qualified attorney review before use.

1. Parties and project

The client and provider legal names, contact details, effective date, deliverables, page count, approvals, target dates, and specific build fee will be recorded in a signed statement of work (SOW).

2. Website build fees

Introductory starting build fees: Local Launch $895; Signature Studio $1,395; Business Engine $2,695; Enterprise Canvas $4,395. The signed SOW controls the final quoted fee, payment milestones, included revision rounds, and any additional pages at $175 per standard informational page.

3. Website build agreement and optional care

A website build is a one-time project and does not require monthly care. If the client elects a care plan, a separate optional 12-month managed-care agreement will specify monthly fees, included work, response times, hosting responsibilities, renewal and cancellation terms. The signed project scope controls.

4. Updates outside a plan

Work outside the approved scope or care allowance requires written approval and a quote. As-needed updates are offered at $85/hour, subject to availability and any agreed minimum.

5. Third parties and advanced features

Domain, hosting, licensed images, paid plugins, booking tools, vendor services, and subscriptions are separate unless the SOW says otherwise. Databases, logins, member portals, inventory, custom integrations, and similar functionality require separate discovery, timeline, security planning, and pricing.

6. Client content and approvals

Client supplies or authorizes all text, logos, photos, and credentials, confirms the right to use materials, reviews proofs promptly, and approves the final site before launch. Regulated-industry content requires the client’s own compliance approvals.

7. Ownership and access

The SOW will identify who owns the domain, hosting accounts, site source files, and third-party licenses. On full payment, ownership of original paid-for deliverables transfers as specified in the SOW; third-party licenses remain subject to their terms. Provider will document reasonable handoff procedures.

8. Changes, delays, and termination

The SOW will describe revision rounds, schedule dependencies, change orders, refunds, nonpayment, cancellation, early termination of optional care, and handoff. No fees or penalties are implied unless clearly stated in the signed agreement.

9. Privacy, security, and limitations

The parties will define responsibility for data handling, backups, access controls, and incident response. Neither search rankings nor sales results are guaranteed. Any liability limitations must be reviewed by counsel.
