I'm Melissa—the founder, digital creator and project-minded person behind MAD Media & Party Planning.
I'm not here to make technology complicated.
I believe small businesses deserve websites that feel just as thoughtful and professional as the work they do. I love taking an idea, making sense of the moving parts, and turning it into something useful and beautiful.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Project Management. I'm also pursuing a master's in Project Management and Operations, with an anticipated completion date of February 2027. That project-management background shapes how I plan timelines, organize content, communicate with clients and manage the details.
Before this creative chapter, I spent eight years working with children with special needs. I hold a New York Level III Teaching Assistant certification and an EMT certification. Those experiences strengthened my patience, adaptability and ability to explain things clearly—skills I bring into every project.
I've also created marketing materials, graphics and web concepts while helping Sam with his business. That experience showed me how much a welcoming, easy-to-understand digital presence can mean to a business owner.
Family, community and creativity are all connected.
Sam, Hope and Bryce are part of what inspires me to build something of my own. Family reminds me why personal attention, honesty and follow-through matter so much.
I also love helping bring people together. Whether I'm designing a flyer, organizing information for a business website or coordinating an event, I want people to feel welcome, included and excited to participate.
My approach is straightforward: listen first, be clear about pricing and expectations, then put care into the details.

Joanna works alongside me on events at Southwood Fire Department. She has a special knack for making occasions feel thoughtful, welcoming and memorable. Together, we bring organization, creativity and genuine enthusiasm to community gatherings and celebrations.
Our event work includes community events and fundraiser experiences. The photographs in our event gallery document real gatherings; they are not claims that MAD Media & Party Planning was the contracted organizer of every pictured activity.
